GETAWAY TO GLORIOUS NEWQUAY

 Monday, 22 November  -  Friday, 26 November, 2027.

Staying at the ESPLANADE HOTEL, Fistral Beach which is an ideal base for a getaway in Cornwall.  The Esplanade Hotel boast stunning views as it overlooks the famous Fistral Beach, where you can watch the fabulous surf rolling in from the comfort of your Hotel.  The town with its shops, restaurants and picturesque harbour is just a short stroll away, but if you prefer a day indoors, then the heated pool, hot tub and sauna are the perfect places to relax.   After busy days, relax and enjoy the dramatic sea views from the lounge and restaurant the Cove, or try a drink in the Elements Bar.  There is a lift to all floors.   Included in our Getaway to Cornwall is a Sherry Reception with Mince Pies, Traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings on one evening, a visit from Santa.  Complimentary Bar between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. each evening on selected brands.    Evening Dinner each evening and  English Breakfast is served every morning.  There is nightly entertainment .  Rooms with sea views are on request only and incur a supplement of £30.00 per room, per night.   Rooms with walk-in showers are available on request, so please let Margaret know on booking.

MONDAY  -  We travel via the motorway in our Executive coach with toilet, washroom and drink facilities, making a comfort stop at a service’s, then a further stop at a services where we can have lunch, and we should arrive at THE ESPLANADE  HOTEL, in the afternoon, whilst we are checking in, our luggage will be taken up to our bedrooms.   Evening meal in the restaurant. 

 

TUESDAY -  Breakfast in the restaurant and today we head out to TRURO which is Cornwall's only southernmost city with a stunning 19th century Cathedral featuring 3 towering spires and magnificent stained glass.  The city centre Christmas lights are expected to turn on, on Saturday, 20 November, 2027 matching the opening day of the Truro Christmas Market on Lemon Quay, which is on every day through to Christmas.  Evening Dinner in the restaurant.  Complimentary bar from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

 

WEDNESDAY -  Today our excursion is to FALMOUTH,  and it is known for its deep natural harbour on the Fal Estuary, where you will find lots of colourful boats moored. 

The town is full of vibrant, pastel coloured independent shops, cafes and historic period properties, it is a lovely artsy and vibrant place with a true soul.  It has been named Britain's most charming harbour town.  Evening Dinner in the restaurant.  Complimentary bar from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

THURSDAY -  Our excursion today is to REDRUTH.   From its earliest days as a market town, Redruth became the centre of Cornwall's tin and copper mining industry and was the largest and richest metal mining area in the UK.  In the town centre look out for The Tinners Hounds which are made from the discarded wellington boots of the workers of the last mine to close in 1999.   Wander round the quaint streets where you will find lovely shops and cafes.   Evening Dinner in the restaurant.   Complimentary bar from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

 

FRIDAY - We meet the coach, after breakfast and commence our journey home.    A stop will be made at a services, giving you time to have lunch.  A further comfort stop, nearer home will be made when the driver will give arrival home times so passengers who wish to be met can telephone.

 

PRICE FOR THIS 5 DAY TOUR IS:   £566.00 per person in Twin, Double Rooms in the Esplanade Hotel.

Price includes return coach fare and ALL day excursions, NO HIDDEN EXTRAS.

 

Bookings are taken over the telephone, followed by £50.00 per person deposit, paid by bank transfer or cheque.  With final payment 6 weeks prior to departure date.

 

INSURANCE:   We suggest you take out your own insurance in case of illness and can’t travel.
