Staying at the 3 Star Bells Hotel & Country Club, Coleford which is nestled in the Forest of Dean. The hotel does not have a lift, but has over 35 bedrooms on the ground floor. PLEASE ASK FOR ONE WHEN BOOKING, if needed. The bedroom block is approximately 25 yards walk away from the Club House, which is home to the Bar, Lounge and Restaurant. Full English Breakfast every morning, Evening Dinner is 2 courses, main course and dessert with 4 choices at each course, followed by Tea or Coffee. There is live entertainment on 3 nights, although 1 night could be a Quiz or Bingo.

MONDAY  - We travel via the motorway, and your hostess will serve your drinks, a short comfort stop will be made at Stafford Services so you can have a leg stretch, then we continue on our journey stopping at WORCESTER, and you will have time to purchase some lunch and have a look round this lovely town. We continue our journey and should arrive at the Hotel mid afternoon. On arrival there will be a meet and greet service with a fruit juice as a welcome drink and porters will take your luggage to your rooms. Evening Dinner is in the Restaurant.

 

TUESDAY  -  Today we depart on our exciting day out in the Wye Valley, we commence by visiting MONMOUTH which nestles in the tranquil lower reaches of the beautiful Wye Valley, where the River Monmow meets the River Wye. The town has vibrant independent shops, restaurant to suit all tastes and you can enjoy a coffee in a café in a quiet courtyard.

After exploring Monmouth we meet the coach and travel the short distance to SYMONDS YAT WEST where we meet our boat for our 40 minute sail on the River Wye with commentary. After the sail our coach meets us and we return to our Hotel. Evening Dinner in the Restaurant.

  

WEDNESDAY  - Today’s excursion, first we take a tour of the ROYAL FOREST OF DEAN, making a stop at CHEPSTOW, then we continue up the Wye Valley, passing the ruins of Tintern Abbey, making our way to meet DEAN FOREST RAILWAY. Enjoy a relaxing journey behind one of the steam trains, your journey will last approximately 90 minutes, covering 9 mile round trip, and will make a short stop to change the engine round, please stay on the train. From here we return to our Hotel.

  

THURSDAY  -    Today our first stop is at ROSS-ON-WYE.   This picturesque historic market town, is known as the birthplace of British tourism and sits high above a striking horseshoe bend in the River Wye.  Visit The Market House which is a 17th century red sandstone building in the centre of town and hosts local craft galleries and markets, the High Street features unique antique shops, retro stores, bookshops and local cafes. From here we travel to WESTON CIDERS for a Cider Mill Tour, you will discover the craft of cider making from blossom to bottle, you will be shown everything with an expert guide leading the way.   See where they harvest, weigh and wash apples.   Venture into the heart of the mill where they press, ferment and mature before blending and packing and then on for the Tasting. After the tasting everyone will be given a bottle of cider on leaving for you to enjoy at home. We make our way back to our Hotel and Dinner is in the restaurant.

  

FRIDAY  -  Luggage left outside your bedroom door for the porters to collect and take down. Breakfast in the restaurant and after breakfast we board the coach and commence our journey home. A stop will be made at a services, so you can obtain lunch and the driver will give estimated arrival home times.

Price per person sharing a Twin,Double or Single Room:  £568.00.

 

There is NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT and it will be a standard Single Room.  If you wish to have a Double Room for Sole Use there is a supplement.

INSURANCE:   We suggest you take out your own insurance, in case of cancellation due to illness
